After missing the previous tour in Australia in 2019. I ensured I could attend this run which was being held at the iconic Town Hall. Fans were already gathered hours before enduring the scorching Sydney heat. I believe some even queued as early as the night before the concert. You could feel the excitement and buzz even before the doors opened.
As the stage lights dimmed and the introduction VCR played the entire place erupted into screams of excitement. After ending, all seven members confidently lined up in front of the screaming fans. Starting off with ‘Full Moon’ and you could tell right away they were ready to entertain their dedicated fans. It was such a high-energy start, and their visuals were on point.Dreamcatcher performed all their hits, like ‘BOCA’ ,‘Scream’ and newer songs such as ‘Justice’ from their 2024 EP VirtuouS. But the real surprise was when they performed Deja Vu with a soothing acapella introduction. Their vocals were incredible live, and the choreography was on another level. You could tell the whole group were enjoying their time on stage together. The way they moved and interacted with each other was heartwarming. My personal favorite performance was ‘Justice’ because it showcased the vocal abilities of the group as well as implementing eye catching choreography.
Dreamcatcher really knows how to connect with the audience. There were lots of moments where they spoke to us (despite the language barrier), made jokes, and made us feel like we were all part of the experience. Definitely a few moments that I’m still thinking about! Is when Gahyun took over the camera displaying on the rear LED screens and the group convinced fans to dance along to the dance break of ‘Silent Night’ . The crowd was totally living for it.
Honestly, the best part was when everyone in the crowd was singing along to ‘Reason’—it felt like one big family, and the connection between Dreamcatcher and their fans was so real. All in all, this concert was one of my favourite recent shows. I’m still buzzing from the energy. The group was amazing, and the whole experience just reminded me why I love K-pop so much. If you ever get a chance to see Dreamcatcher live, do it—hands down worth it.
