How does it feel to be part of the Wanstock 2025 lineup?
It feels great. I love The Baby Animals so I’m honoured to be playing before them.
What can the crowd expect from your performance at Wanstock?
Fans can expect a really high energy rock show that will take audiences on a trip back to when Australian music ruled the world.
If you could collaborate with any other artist on the lineup, who would it be and why?
‘Isn’t it time’ by The Babys is one of my all time favourite songs. Although, I would love to write with Suzi from Baby Animals and Dave Leslie.
What do you think makes Wanstock such a special event?
Wanstock is special because they have seasoned pros and up-and-coming bands on the lineup. This is what I’m looking forward to the most, there’s something for everyone.
Have festivals like Wanstock influenced your music or live performance style?
I love opening up and being on festival lineups. For me as a performer, it’s my chance to set the bar as high as possible for the next act. This way everyone’s performance is elevated.
Who were your biggest influences when you first started playing?
Prince and Led Zeppelin were my biggest influences.
What’s one song you wish you had written?
I love music so much, I couldn’t pick just one so I’d say “Sign O’ The Times” by Prince and “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin.
How do you know when a song is “finished”?
A song is never finished until it is released. I rework old songs all the time and try to make them better. You will hear a brand new version of “Get Set” at Wanstock.
What’s the most memorable live show you’ve ever played?
I was lucky enough to play Wembley with Taxiride supporting Tina Turner. That was pretty special.
What’s next on the horizon – Tours, releases, anything.
I have a brand new love for my songs with Taxiride, so it’s time to take everyone back on the ride.
