The Infinite drop new single “A View From Nowhere”

There’s great new heavy music pouring out of Western Australia at the moment and Perth’s THE INFINITE has today rolled out their brand new track ‘A View from Nowhere’ with a guitar playthrough video that showcases both guitarists’ jaw-dropping skills with picturesque Perth and it’s Swan River as its backdrop. Premiered at killyourstereo Tuesday afternoon and then on triple j’s The Racket Tuesday night, this djent-y banger has been propelled out into the world with some definite heat on it.

THE INFINITE is an instrumental project featuring Drew Shepherd and Bodine Wirihana on guitars. Heavy, progressive & polyrhythmic describe the sound of THE INFINITE, with intricate guitar riffs and technical passages tied in with melodic choruses and guitar solos.

Drew has been playing in bands for over 10 years most notably playing guitar for Make Way For Man, a progressive metalcore band from Perth, Western Australia. Bodine currently plays in local Perth band At Depths.

THE INFINITE was formed in 2015. After the instrumental band Prescient had broken up. Drew was left with a lot of unused material that he still thought needed to be recorded. Drew decided to go into the studio and begin recording the material by himself and began recording drums, guitars and bass for the first single. In 2017 Bodine Wirihana joined and brought a new style to the band with new ideas.

‘Autonomy’ was the first single released for THE INFINITE in May of 2016 – since its release it has been well received, getting played on triple j and featured on many online blogs, forums and Facebook promotional pages. There are no boundaries for THE INFINITE.
