Kram, Janet & Whitt hit the road today, kicking off their national Ivy and the Big Apples LIVE 2017 tour in Melbourne with the first of what is now sitting at six shows in that city. And Melbourne is not alone in their love for the ‘Bait!
Yep, Australia is showing that it still has all the feels for Spiderbait and their seminal 1996 album ‘Ivy and the Big Apples’, which will be played live in its entirety for the first time, alongside a few extra crowd favourites.
With seven shows already sold out and a bunch of additional dates added, 2017 is set to be Spiderbait’s biggest tour to date!
Kram had this to say “Thanks to all of you out there – we’re so stoked about the response to the 2017 Ivy Tour – it’s really blown us away and we can’t wait to play these shows all around the country. The album is very meaningful for us and to perform it live will be something special. It’s amazing really that this tour celebrating 20 years since the record was released (and Pony winning the hottest 100) is bigger than the first tour back in 1996… Bizarre. Awesome. Beautiful. Australia. Love you lots xx Thanks & see you out there.”
