Live Nation has today announced that Split Enz – featuring Tim Finn, Eddie Rayner, Neil Finn, and Noel Crombie – will reunite for their first tour in nearly 20 years on the Forever Enz Tour, confirmed for May 2026.
Forming in New Zealand in 1972 before relocating to Australia in 1975, Split Enz is widely regarded as one of the most important antipodean groups of the last 5 decades. The band’s last live outing on Australian shores was 2009’s Sound Relief concert at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Split Enz were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005.
During their recording career Split Enz released a string of era-defining hits across the late ’70s and early ’80s including I Got You, I See Red, Message To My Girl, Six Months On A Leaky Boat, History Never Repeats, One Step Ahead, and so many more. Their 1980 album release, True Colours, was certified 5 x platinum in Australia, selling over 350,000 copies.
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Split Enz’s debut album Mental Notes. That album, along with the band’s entire catalogue is part of the Enzyclopedia re-release series – the first of which is due out on November 14 via Chrysalis Records globally and Warner Music locally in Australia and NZ.
Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to witness Split Enz live – with live line up featuring Tim Finn, Neil Finn, Eddie Rayner and Noel Crombie plus Matt Eccles on drums and James Milne on bass.
The Forever Enz Tour will commence on Wednesday 13 May at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne followed by ICC Theatre, Sydney on Monday 18 May, RAC Arena, Perth on Friday 22 May and concluding on Monday 25 May at Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
