Get ready: in just over two weeks’ time Los Angeles’ outfit TOOL touch down in Australia and New Zealand, kicking off the most anticipated rock tour of 2020!
TOOL’s arrival marks seven years since the band last toured our shores. What’s more, the band can confirm that they’re bringing their huge, absolutely mammoth full international stage production with them. This will be a spectacle not to be missed. With six of eight arena shows already sold out, don’t delay in grabbing the very last remaining tickets. Final shows in Perth and Sydney are on sale now and selling fast.
Just this week, the band took home the 2020 Grammy for Best Metal Performance for excellent new track ‘7empest’, making them four-time Grammy winners. TOOL previously won trophies for Best Metal Performance in 1997 and 2001 for Ænima and ‘Schism’, as well as Best Recording Package in 2006 for 10,000 Days.
Frontier Touring are also pleased to announce the addition of a special guest at all Australian and New Zealand shows: acclaimed, cutting-edge industrial artist AUTHOR & PUNISHER.
A former mechanical engineer turned artist, US musician Tristan Shone is the man behind AUTHOR & PUNISHER’s industrial, uncompromising soundscapes. Having forged a relationship with design, sound, and fabrication, Shone makes music moving away from custom instruments and instead using custom-made, precision machinery. AUTHOR & PUNISHER has amassed praise and intrigue from a wide array of audiences. Live, it’s an amalgamation of physical movement, man and mechanism, a sound Wired Magazine labelled his own “special brand of doom metal” and “Drone Machines”. Don’t miss him live on stage with TOOL, touring nationally next month.
