Simple Plan Teams Up With Jax For A Brand New Spin On Their Song ‘Iconic’ Ahead of April 2024 Australian Tour

Simple Plan, the renowned Canadian rock band, is teaming up with Jax, the rising pop star, for a groundbreaking collaboration of their song Iconic. Simple Plan, known for their chart-topping hits and energetic live performances, has joined forces with Jax, a music and social media sensation after amassing close to 15 million TikTok followers and releasing her top 40 smash-hit Victoria’s Secret in 2022. With her powerful vocals and dynamic performances, Jax has captivated audiences around the world. This collaboration with Simple Plan on Iconic showcases her versatility and ability to seamlessly fuse different genres of music. The song has already been featured on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation “Advanced Placement” programming, and has received many playlist looks including Apple’s New Music Daily, Spotify’s Ready to Rock, and various New Music Friday territory looks.

“I was so so so excited when Simple Plan asked me to be part of Iconic!”, states Jax enthusiastically. “Pierre brought me up to his home and we had such a fun time cutting my verse and then having dinner with his beautiful family! I grew up listening to them and was trying my best not to fangirl. The boys are all ‘Icons’ and it is a dream come true to be on this song with them!”

“Iconic is a song about dreamers; people who have big, crazy ideas. Often, they’re told to forget about them, to be realistic, to give up on these « crazy » ambitions…” explained Chuck Comeau from Simple Plan.

“We wanted to write a song for all these dreamers and tell them they didn’t have to give up. That they should keep going, keep believing in their crazy dreams, ignore the haters, believe in themselves and their talent and use all the negative comments they hear as fuel to stay motivated and prove everyone wrong,” Chuck continued.

“That’s what we tried to do when we started this band in our parents’ basement 25 years ago and today we were so grateful we kept going and dreaming big. That’s also why we thought Jax was the perfect artist to join us on the song. She embodies everything « Iconic » stands for. She’s forging her own path, breaking rules and doing things her own way and it’s been cool to watch her use her platform in such a positive and inspiring way. We couldn’t be happier to be friends and have her on this song,” lead singer, Pierre Bouvier added with excitement.

Simple Planare set to appear at When We Were Young Festival later this year, before kicking off 2024 with the Hard As Rock Tour in Europe and the UK, appearances at the I Wanna Be Brazil Tour, a new emo and pop-punk filled tour heading to Brazil. The band will then return to Australia next April, with a national run alongside special guests and fellow pop punk royals BOYS LIKE GIRLS and We The Kings. Tickets are already going fast, with Brisbane already sold out on Sunday 14 April.
